Author Guidelines

1. General Terms

Jurnal Pharmacopoeia (JPharmaco) provide unique publication venue for various research fields such as:

  1. Clinical Pharmacy
  2. Community Pharmacy
  3. Pharmaceutics
  4. Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  5. Pharmacognosy
  6. Phytochemistry

All submitted manuscripts are original work and MUST NOT previously published or under consideration for publication in elsewhere (the author will need to provide guarantee letter). Research papers must also be factual and original. Submission of manuscripts is subjected to editor in chief.

2. How to submit

Registerred author in Jurnal Pharmacopoeia (JPharmaco) have to make sure fulfilling our format before submitting papers to us. Author required for submitting the manuscript electronically by using online journal system through this site.

3. Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these terms.

  1. The submission has not been previously published or under publication consideration.
  2. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided
  4. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed
  5. Ethical clearance approval for research using animal or human is needed if the research involve humans or animals in the process.

4. Typing Format 

  1. General Format : manuscript must be in English (preferred) or Bahasa Indonesia with minimum 5.000 words typed in A4 size, Calibri font. Abstract typed in 1 column, 11pt font and 1,0 spacing. Introduction, material and methods, results and discussion, conclusion, and references typed in 2 columns, 11pt font size, and 1,2 spacing. The length of the full paper should be between 10 to 15 printed pages. File must be in Word Document (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf).
  2. Title : typed in 12-15 words bold-capital letters, describes main content of work, doesn’t contain formulas. Title typed in Indonesia and English with 13 pt font size.
  3. Author’s name : full name without academic degrees and title. Manuscript written by groups needs to supplemented by complete contact details. The author name should be accompanied by complete affiliation address, postal code number, telephone number and email address.
  4. Abstract : typed in English and Bahasa Indonesia with 200-500 words in 1 column with 1.0 spacing. Briefly explain backgrounds, objectives, methods, results and conclusion.
  5. Keywords : enlist 4-8 words or group of words arranged alphabetically.
  6. Introduction : Explaining the background, problems, importance of research, brief literature review that relates directly to research or previous findings that need to be developed, and ended with a paragraph of research purposes. A balance must be kept between the pure and applied aspects of the subject. The introduction is presented in the form of paragraphs of approximately 1000 words.
  7. Materials and Methods : Make sure that methods explanation can be repeated according to the details provided. It contains technical information of the study presented clearly. Therefore, readers can conduct research based on the techniques presented. Materials and equipment specifications are necessary. Approaches or procedures of study together with data analysis methods must be presented.
  8. Results and Discussion : In general, an article will contain three-seven figures and tables. Same data can not be presented in the form of tables and figures. The results of the study are discussed to address the problem formulated, objectives and research hypotheses.
  9. Tables and figures : Well-prepared tables and or figures must be of significant feature tables and figures because they convey the major observations to readers. Any information provided in tables and figures should not be repeated in the text, the text should focus on the importance of the principal findings of the study. It is highly recommended that discussion be focused on the why and how of the research findings can happen and to extend to which the research findings can be applied to other relevant problems.
  10. Conclusion : The main conclusions of the study should be presented in a short Conclusions section, which stands alone. You should explain whether your findings supported your hypothesis. Avoid using references in conclusion section. Conclusion should be withdrawn on the basis of research findings, formulated concerns and research purposes. Conclusion is presented in one paragraph without numerical form of expression.
  11. Acknowledgement : Contributors who are not mentioned as authors should be acknowledged, and their particular contribution should be described. All sources of funding for the work must be acknowledged, both the research funder and the grant number (if applicable) should be given for each source of funds.
  12. References : written by using standard citation application (Mendeley/Endnote/Zotero). Harvard reference style is required. 

5. Notification 

An acknowledgement letter will be sent to the corresponding author email address immediately of submission. This letter indicates that we have received your submission and not as an indicator of the journal acceptance. We encourage all authors to register for an ORCID iD (ORCiD) and include their ORCiD in their author profile at or before manuscript submission.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
