The rapid development of technology has led to the increasing use of gadgets in various circles, including elementary school-age children. Uncontrolled gadget use can have an impact on children’s social interactions. This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of gadget use and social interaction in elementary school children at SD Negeri 2 Dukuhwaluh. This research method is a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 100 students in grades 4-6 who were selected using a proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of two instruments duration of gadget use and social interaction. Data analysis used the Spearman Rho test to determine the relationship between variables. The results showed a significant negative relationship between the duration of gadget use and children’s social interaction (p= 0,000; p- value< 0,05; r = -0,352). The longer a child uses gadgets, the lower the level of social interaction. Therefore, the role of parents and teachers is critical in limiting gadget use and encouraging direct social interaction.
