Adequate nutritional intake plays an important role in supporting brain development and learning abilities in children. However, most school-aged children do not practice healthy eating habits, as evidenced by their tendency to consume fast food, skip breakfast, eat insufficient amounts of fruit, and prefer sweet foods. Nutrition literacy is necessary to increase children's awareness and caution in choosing foods. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of nutrition literacy among school-age children in public elementary schools in Lumajang regency. This study used descriptive statistical research methods with a cross-sectional approach and used a total sampling technique with a sample size of 50 students. The instrument used was the Food and Nutrition Literacy Test (FNLIT). The results showed that school-age children who had a low level of nutritional literacy were 21 students (42%), a moderate level of nutritional literacy were 15 students (30%), and the remaining 14 students (28%) had high nutritional literacy. Improving nutritional literacy is expected to help children and families understand the importance of a healthy diet, prevent nutrition-related diseases, and improve overall quality of life.
